Talking of soaps, as we were earlier, we never watch then nowadays. But there was a time when we did... And the YouTube clip below reminds us of when we did... back in a time when politics mattered to people, and you could watch a soap with the kids sitting beside you without worrying...
Come on back to 1980. The year Ronald Reagan was elected, thus setting the decade truly on track (we weren't keen), the year unrest flared in inner London - a foretaste of the traumas to come in '81, and the year when, just before Christmas, we met (if we were lucky/unlucky) the awesome Rubik's Cube...
