What Britishness Can And Does Do That Englishness Doesn't Is To Discriminate Against All Citizens Of England

"What Englishness can't do that Britishness can do is appeal unambiguously to people of different ethnic origins," notes Janan Ganesh, political correspondent for The Economist.

It's the BBC reporting again.

But Janeh Ganesh is talking cobblers.

Britishness is not and was never intended to be a blanket nationality simply aimed at everybody living in England.

It was intended to be the blanket nationality of everybody living in England, Scotland and Wales.

With the will to do so, the word "English" could be substituted for the word "British" and an inclusive, civic English nationality be developed very easily.

New arrivals in England have "Britishness" rammed down their threats. So do longstayers

Whilst the PC crowd waste no opportunity to demonise Englishness as a non-inclusive, racist mind set.

But the English have long been a "mongrel" nation.

And all the better for it.

For a start the 'Anglo Saxons' never called themselves that, and the newcomers married into the existing population to form the early English - as proven by DNA studies in places like Oakington. And a 'Celtic' fringe? There isn't one. DNA proves that too. Edward Lhuyd's 1707 'Celtic' linguistic label did not rewrite people's DNA. The Scots notion hopped over the water from Ireland, and the Bell Beaker People displaced around 90% of the island's Neanderthal population.

Insular? This island?

What Britishness does is place every man, woman and child in England at a serious disadvantage when compared to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The West Lothian Question, the Barnett Formula and devolution have seen to that.

A lot of this disadvantage comes from the 1707 linguistic label 'Celtic', applied to the Welsh language and other 'insular' languages by Edward Lhuyd (the 'insular' label also being a Welsh invention although the English language, with its all its quirks and richness was created in England but doesn't qualify for the 'insular' label) and later expanded into a fake ethnicity for the Welsh, Scots and Irish.

Wasn't Wales a web of competing factions and kingdoms, slugging it out internally, not a peaceful, united polity? Yep. Wasn't Ireland partitioned by a Welsh PM with avid backing of Protestant Scots? Yep.

Didn't Scotland attempt its own colonisation project at Darien, blame the English (as always) for its failure, then enter the Union, thus creating Britishness as a nationality and being disproportionately active in the British Empire, then blaming the English (as always) for the whole enterprise? Yep. Wasn't the Poll Tax invented by a Scotsman called Douglas Mason and implemented there a year early at the behest of its own Secretary of State - and then the English (as always) were blamed? Yep. Weren't the Scottish Clearances carried out by the Scots, and then the English (as always) were blamed? Yep.

And meanwhile the most ethnically diverse country, England, gets less per capita spending via the Barnett Formula (even declared unfair to England by its own creator, the late Lord Joel Barnett), meaning that those just above the poverty line in England pay nearly £10 per prescription item, while millionaires get then free in the far less ethnically diverse Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland, money scooped largely from the tax payers in England.

Because everything historically was the fault of England, apparently.

And then there is the little question of the West Lothian Question, in which non-accountable MPs get to vote - and sometimes decisively - on legislation affecting only England.

You see what a mess the so-called UK is?

Bristol West MP, UK Communities Minister And "Proud Welshman" Stephen Williams - A Celtic Myth Supporter. Apartheid Is Here.

Stephen Williams - Liberal Democrat MP for Bristol West has obviously done a HUGE amount of family history research. He confidently asserts that his people (the Welsh) and the Cornish are the oldest peoples on this island.

 From the UK Parliament website:

"Communities Minister Stephen Williams said:

This is a great day for the people of Cornwall who have long campaigned for the distinctiveness and identity of the Cornish people to be recognised officially.
The Cornish and Welsh are the oldest peoples on this island and as a proud Welshman I look forward to seeing Saint Piran’s flag flying with extra Celtic pride on March 5 next year."
We're delighted here that the Cornish have been granted national minority status, although we are suspicious of the government's reasons for doing so. The people of Cornwall are entitled to go independent and think themselves to be whatever they like as regards their origins. They're not Celts. But if they want to believe they are, then great. I don't want my taxes going towards feeding that myth though. and I don't want the UK Parliament to reflect it as it's simply misguided with more than a faint whiff of racism attached to it I feel. But if the Cornish believe it, that's up to them. Of course, you can be Cornish and separate from the English without the Celtic myth if you so choose to be.

But Bristol West MP and UK Communities Minister, that "proud" supporter of the Celtic myth Stephen Williams, scares us. The man believes in the Celtic thing to such a degree that he thinks the Welsh and the Cornish are "the oldest peoples on this island". Of course, DNA evidence points to the fact that this is not biologically true, and up until recent times the Cornish, Scots and Welsh were not even referred to as Celts anyway. The term "Celtic" came into play around 1700 and largely referred to languages. But this was extended, particularly in Scotland, Wales and Cornwall to include other things - archeological remains and culture for instance, which, in fact were not Celtic at all. A sense of exclusiveness was born and a sense of "We've been here the longest". It is accepted that, at the time of the Romans, what is now the UK was populated by a number of separate tribes, certainly not Celts. Read this - it's interesting - http://networkedblogs.com/SpsJk

But Stephen Williams believes that he is a Celt. And that the Welsh and the Cornish are the oldest peoples on this island. Oldest? Oh no, Mr Williams, the Celts are one of the most recent (invented) peoples on this island.

Perhaps his "Celtic heritage" is the reason that Mr Williams believes outrages like the West Lothian Question and Barnett Formula are perfectly permissable? After all, the English (the people of England) aren't pure breeds like he believes he is, are they? Thank goodness!

Meanwhile, England, which, in reality, has bloodlines going back just as far as the Scots, Welsh and Cornish (genocide was never practised by ancient invaders) and many that are far more recent, and is far more non-exclusive and cosmopolitan, is only worthy of inferior public spending and a democratic deficit that defies belief.

Oh, Mr Williams, the anti-English, "Celtic" supremacy agenda of the UK Government becomes ever more evident. Thanks to people like you. This is apartheid. And the reasons behind it hold up no better than those for apartheid in South Africa years ago.

These fake "Celtic" peoples, a UK elite, enjoying an invented pride and better public spending than the people of England? This is mind blowing.

And to the people of Bristol West: is it comforting to know that your MP is so deluded and exclusive?

Gordon Brown - Deluded Scottish Jingoist (And Anti-English, Of Course!)?

Laughed like drains when we read Gordon Brown's pro-union speech as reported in the The Scotsman.

"I believe that as a result of implementing -across the UK- Scottish values that emphasis social justice and opportunity for all, we have narrowed the inequalities between the nations of the United Kingdom."

Social justice? The Barnett Formula? The West Lothian Question? The pure evil that is the UK treatment of the nation of England and all its people? Yes, we've noticed Scottish values being implemented in England - the values of "We're all right, Jack, stuff you lot in England - we hate you anyway!"

Gordon, you really do seem rather strange to us. And incredibly twisted, jingoistic and uncaring. But our opinion doesn't matter does it? As long as your little nation of five million souls continues to leach off and dominate a nation of around fifty five million souls, you simply don't give a damn, do you?

Power 2010 - Home Rule For England

Power 2010 projected the image of the Cross of St George and the slogan "Home Rule" onto the Houses of Parliament...

And were quickly ordered to remove it.

The act served two useful purposes:

1) To highlight the democratic deficit in England.

2) To highlight the fact that we are now living in a police state.

Oh, for the good old days of freedom.

About fifteen years ago.

David Cameron: FUCK England!

This makes me heave:

Family, community, country. In recent years we’ve been hearing things about our country we haven’t heard for a long time. People saying they don’t know what it is to be British, what this country stands for.

People in Scotland who want to leave the United Kingdom and people in England who say let them go.

I am passionate about our Union and I will never do anything to put it at risk. And because of the new political force we have created with the Ulster Unionists, I’m proud that at the next election we will be the only party fielding candidates in every part of the United Kingdom.

Firstly, I always thought that the UK was a union of countries? Secondly, I thoroughly dislike David some of my ancesters were "...were Scottish Empire builders - conquered all sorts of parts of India, I think" Cameron. Hateful, swine of a man - who happily ignores issues like the West Lothian Question.

Carry on dying in England for want of medication available on the higher-funded NHS in Scotland..

The incoming upper class brat at Number 10 doesn't give a shit.

Must be the "Scots blood" in his veins, as he puts it.

I'm going to dislike the probable new anti-English/anti-England PM just as much as I do the present one.

Smug, biased and uncaring git that he is.

CEP: 2000 Labour Party delegates to applaud the negation of the English Democratic Tradition

2000 labour party delegates got to their feet in Brighton in the county of Sussex to applaud the repudiation by Gordon Brown of the very fundamentals of England's democratic tradition.

Yesterday afternoon the delegates to the Labour Party Conference -Cabinet Ministers, MPs, Peers, Party officials and 2000 delegates from across the United Kingdom got up and clapped and shouted their approval as Gordon Brown, MP for Kirkaldy and Cowdenbeath in Fifeshire in Scotland, announced measure after measure of new legislation for England, and only for England, in defiance of the very fundamentals of what the people of England founded their parliament for 800 years ago.

The CEP National Council has circulated its membership with a statement on this matter.

'Gordon Brown announced new legislation to place new teenage mothers in hostels rather than council houses; to provide free personal care for the very elderly in their homes, to limit pub opening hours, to control broken familes unable to control their children, to bring in additional controls on wild disruptive youngsters, to provide 250,000 free childcare places and to delay the introduction of ID cards. Very many people will indeed agree with these measures. That is not an issue that the CEP as such involves itself with. The CEP is concerned with democracy for England. When England gets its own parlament, its parliament will concern itself wholeheartedly with the welfare of the people of England.

'These measures concern matters which affect England only. The fundamental nature of English democracy as founded with the English Parliament in the 13th century and developed by the people of England over the past 800 years is that it is representative democracy. Law makers are accountable to the people who elect them. They are elected to be their representatives in their parliament. But Brown is not elected by any English voters. He is not accountable to any English voter for any of these specific measures. His action, and the conference applause for it, is a repudiation of this most fundamental aspect of the English democratic tradition.

CEP: GORDON BROWN’S ‘PROGRAMME FOR ‘BRITAIN’ DEFIES AND DENIES THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE OF THE ENGLISH NOTION OF DEMOCRACY.

English democracy is representative democracy. The people who make the laws that govern a country must represent the people they govern and be answerable to them. On that basic principle England’s Parliament was founded almost 800 years ago in 1253. That same principle lies at the heart of English Common Law and the jury system. When Scotland united with England with the Act of Union in 1707, it accepted the English way of democratic government.

‘But the ‘Programme for ‘Britain’ announced yesterday by Gordon Brown in England’s ancient House of Commons is nothing less than outright repudiation of England’s way of democracy’. That is the declaration of the Campaign for an English Parliament. The main proposals of the Programme cover housing, health and education. Not one of them will apply to Scotland because Scotland through its parliament is self-ruling in all matters of housing, health and education. In these three important areas of government Brown is proposing legislation for England only.

Yet Brown is MP for the Scottish constituency of Kirkaldy and Cowdenbeath in Fifeshire. He does not represent one inch of England’s territory and not one single English voter. And he is not answerable in any election to any English man or woman. He is the principal legislator for England, yet he does not represent England in any of these very important matters and he is not accountable to any English person.

What is more, when at next year’s General Election he stands for re-election in Kirkaldy and Cowdenbeath, because he is not a member of the Scottish Parliament, he is not answerable even to his own electorate for any matter concerning housing, health and education. Our system of government has become twisted and deformed.

In terms of what is most basic to the very meaning of English democracy, to have an MP representing a Scottish constituency making legislation for England in matters on which he was not elected by and is not accountable to any electorate is not just wrong, it is politically and constitutionally perverse.

In the statement of the ‘Constitution Unit’ to the House of Commons Justice Committee in November 2007, what is ‘closest to a complete answer’ to this situation created by the nature of the 1998 devolution legislation ‘is an English Parliament?’

David Cameron - Brown Nosing His Beloved Scotland Again - And Leaving England Out In The Cold...

God, how we dislike David Cameron. And Gordon Brown, of course. But here is Cameron "Scottish blood in my veins" again, this time in The Telegraph, promising to "rule Scotland with respect".

Not England, of course. Nope, we are "sour Little Englanders" - and the West Lothian Question, the Barnett Formula and health apartheid matter not. Better a deprived England, better dead English people on the so-called NHS, than a broken so-called Union.

If Cameron gets in it will be because Nulabour has been so foul, it will certainly be no endorsement of the man or his political morals.

God, how we dislike David Cameron...

The Labour Party, The Conservative Party, The Liberal Democrats, The British National Party - Racists All

We all remember the referendum in the North East of England which voted 78% against regionalisation. Sadly, the rest of us weren't given a say and New Labour continued the break-up of England regardless. Gordon Brown's last act as Chancellor was to swipe £2bn from the English NHS:

From the Financial Times:

However, Mr Brown avoided equivalent cuts to the Scottish and Welsh NHS budgets even though the funding formula for the UK nations suggests they should have shared the pain. That decision leaves him open to criticism that he favoured patients in his home country

Gordon Brown's first act as Prime Minister without a mandate was to create regional ministers in England, and now regional select committees. But those given a say in the North East said a resounding NO to regionalisation. That doesn't matter. The people of England are not allowed to live in a democracy.

Now, the Lib Dumbs are screeching over Labour "unfairness" in the composition of the new Regional Select Committees. Note, NOT over the fact that the people of England don't WANT regions. The Lib Dumbs go even further, stating that their article here "refers to UK" - which it doesn't. Scotland and Wales have their own national governing bodies. The article refers to ENGLAND.

So, lower public spending in England - via the Barnett Formula, health apartheid, the West Lothian Question... and MPs of all parties remain quite unconcerned about the people of England. Keep 'em quite. Put in more CCTV. Keep the DNA Database. Tell 'em it's to combat terrorism. Fool the people. Crush the people.

As charges of racism can brought on grounds of nationality/country of origin, it seems that the major UK political parties - New Labour, the Tories, the Lib Dumbs, and the BNP are ALL guilty of racism.

Now, isn't that a spooky factoid?

Gordon Brown - Another Racist Hypocrite

As stated before, I in no way condone Prince Harry's use of the "Paki" word, but I do find it hard to keep quiet when hypocritical politicians move in to disapprove.

Take Gordon Brown: this man abuses England, the largest and most cosmopolitan UK nation, to an alarming degree. He isn't even accountable to his own constituents for around 75% of the legislation his Government passes, as these lucky people have their own Scottish Parliament. And the people who are affected, the people of England, cannot vote him out.

Gordon Brown thinks that the people of England should die for want of medication available on the NHS in Scotland. Indeed, he swiped £2bn from the English NHS in his last act as Chancellor, leaving the Scots and Welsh services (already more highly funded thanks to subsidies from England) intact. He thinks health apartheid, the West Lothian Question and the Barnett Formula are great.

And Gordon Brown's loyalties are to a tiny minority - the Scots in Scotland. To this end, he signed the 1988 Scottish Claim of Right (in 1989):

We, gathered as the Scottish Constitutional Convention, do hereby acknowledge the sovereign right of the Scottish people to determine the form of Government best suited to their needs, and do hereby declare and pledge that in all our actions and deliberations their interests shall be paramount.

And he has NEVER renounced that Claim.

Gordon Brown seeks to break up England into tin-pot artificial EU regions, whilst ensuring that his fellow country people up in Scotland are treated as an elite.

As, legally, charges of racism can be brought on grounds of nationality, it is clear that Gordon Brown is guilty of the most appalling acts of racism against every man, woman and child in England.

And he has absolutely no right to go passing judgement on others. I think that Prince Harry's use of the "Paki" word was unacceptable. But I find Gordon Brown's hatred and spite against the people of England much more so.

David Cameron, Racist, Criticises Prince Harry For Racist Comment

Good grief, here's David Cameron, criticising Prince Harry for his racist "Paki" remark, which I in no way condone, whilst backing UK discrimination - racism - against every single resident of England!

Speaking of Prince Harry's comment, Mr Cameron told BBC One's Andrew Marr Show:

"It is obviously a completely unacceptable thing to say and it is right that he has apologised.

"I think that it is important in the great institutions, whether it is the Army or whether it is political parties, we have had to root out attitudes... and that has to go right across the institutions."

Heavens to Betsy - but Mr Cameron thinks it is perfectly fine for people in England to die for want of medication available on the NHS in Scotland! He thinks it's fine for the Scots and Welsh to be subsidised by the electorate in England to enjoy better health and social care services than those in England. He brags jingoistically about his family's involvement in a Scottish Empire" (note - not "BRITISH"!) - "conquered all sorts of parts of India" whilst calling people in England who want equality with Scotland "sour little Englanders"; he brags about "Scottish blood" in his veins (some sort of white tribe, are they?).

He slagged off the English to the Scots at a time when Scots' racist violence against the English was making headlines.

On Tyneside a couple of days ago, Cameron basically told everybody in England to get stuffed:

One member of the audience complained of the huge differences between services in the North East and Scotland.

She complained that free prescriptions, university tuition and care for the elderly in England should be a priority issue for any Cameron Government.

Mr Cameron responded: “I don’t want to do anything that will encourage a sense of English nationalism and distance between the two countries.”

But Scotland having all these priviliges that the English don't enjoy is creating a sense of "distance".

In short, David Cameron is a racist himself. Before you write to tell me that the English are not a race, charges of racism can be brought on grounds on nationality, and before you write and tell me that Cameron is English, I don't believe it. His loyalty is not to England. He treats us with contempt. David Cameron is an arrogant Brit-Scot, and a racist. It's time the Tories ditched this outrageous hypocrite.

David Cameron Reveals His Anti-English Bias Yet Again

Quite a lot of folk I have spoken to in the past have told me that David Cameron is not anti-English. He is simply a Unionist.

So, when he calls people in England wanting equality with Scotland "sour Little Englanders", nips over to Scotland and tells the Scots that the English are basically ignorant and unappreciative of them (and this around the time of racist attacks on English people wearing England football shirts in Scotland), and then nips back to England to bleat on about the part certain of his ancestors played in the "Scottish Empire" and the "Scots blood" in his veins (there's no such thing!), we're supoosed to think it's because he values the Union.

The fact that the Barnett Formula and West Lothian Question do such terrible things to the people of England is not supposed to matter.

Well, I'm sorry, but I've NEVER believed that Mr Cameron is only a Unionist. I believe that, like many of his ilk, part Scots, privately educated, politically correct, and insulated from the woes of modern day life, that he does not like England nor care for its people at all.

Occasionally, Mr Cameron muddies the water, by claiming to be "English", but his other comments negate those witterings. He merely seeks to confuse.

One gets the impression that Mr C does not hold any different views from the Scottish Raj and the current shameful shower of MPs "representing" constituencies in England infesting Westminster today. And that the sufferings of the people of England would continue under his leadership.

Gareth came across this report about David Cameron's recent visit to Tyneside:

One member of the audience complained of the huge differences between services in the North East and Scotland.

She complained that free prescriptions, university tuition and care for the elderly in England should be a priority issue for any Cameron Government.

Mr Cameron responded: “I don’t want to do anything that will encourage a sense of English nationalism and distance between the two countries.”

So, he's happy to spout jingoistic nonsense about the "Scottish Empire" and to slag off the English in Scotland, he's happy for the English to die for want of medication available on the NHS in Scotland, but he is not happy for the people of England to realise what is going on. He is certainly not happy for the people of England to wake up to the fact that England is a country and it is being abused.

What a complete and utter unreasonable... person... David Cameron is.

We have lots about David Cameron, his treatment of England, his thoughts on his family's part in the "Scottish Empire" (note NOT "British!!), and MORE here.

Big hat-tip to Toque!

Jim Murphy - Another Smug Scots Parasite - Feeding Off The English...

Jim Murphy: Scotland is a proud, historic nation... I'll do all I can for Scotland... I love Scotland... Scotland is the most wonderful place on earth... we Scots are so great I could wee myself, etc, etc...

How do we afford all these MPs? And how come so many are for Scotland only? There's Scots over-representation at Westminster, MSPs, Euro MPs, and now a new full-time Scottish Secretary of State - the un-admirable Jim "Gob" Murphy. The admirable Secret Person points out that Scotland, on top of all this, also has a regional minister - like the ones forced on England to ensure our country's break-up by the Scottish Raj at Westminster.

So, we know that these Scots MPs are out to further Scotland's interests and couldn't give a hang about England or its people, and it's good that Jim Murphy should immediately reveal his Little Scotlander personality on his new blog:

"I will work with anyone who wants to advance our interests. In Europe I worked with centre-right and centre-left governments, with conservative and nationalist. I even enjoyed working with the Communist President of Cyprus. I know from experience the importance of building alliance to achieve real progress. But I will also vigorously oppose ideas and actions that will damage Scotland and her people. I love Scotland. I am passionate about its past and optimistic about its future. No political party has a monopoly on patriotism and I will challenge anyone who says otherwise. We have a great diversity in Scotland but we can all be united by the Saltire."

Not the Union Flag, rammed down our throats in England, you understand, but the saltire. Much as we admire the Scots Parliament's work on encouraging an inclusive non-Celtic-myth Scottishness, Jim Murphy, as a UK Minister, completely ignores the UK angle and makes it plain that Scotland is simply in it for what it can get out:

"As Secretary of State I will be relentless in my pursuit in the interests of Scotland. I will be out and about, criss-crossing the country. Travelling from north to south, to cities, towns and villages to meet businesses and voluntary groups, to visit workplaces and factories, to host round-tables and hold debates. I will listen, learn and act. I will passionately put the case for our current constitutional settlement. Ours is a great nation, with a proud history and a great future. I look forward to meeting you and talking to you – and most of all hearing from you. This is the first of what will be a regular blog."

Jim Murphy, like so many in so-called UK politics, you are a smug, exclusive and unscrupulous git with your hand in English pockets and a determination to make your fellow countrymen into even more of an elite than ever.

Health apartheid, the West Lothian Question, the Barnett Formula is not enough, is it? Like it or not, this is all about the UK being run primarily for the benefit of an elite - the people of Scotland.

Gordon Brown, "our" non-representative PM, may have appointed this man to try and shut Salmond's gob a bit. But from the sound of Jim Murphy's fairly constant flow of smug, exclusive Scots nationalist verbal diarrhea so far, Gordy may have picked a dud.

Jim Murphy - Scottish Secretary Of State - Snout In The Trough As Gordon Brown Honours His Pledge To Put Scotland First...

In recent years, the UK Government post of Scottish Secretary was cut down to part-time. Why should Scotland have a Secretary of State at all, some of us asked? 75% of legislation passed by the UK Government no longer affects Scotland, and England doesn't have a Secretary of State and NOBODY speaks for England as a nation - MPs supposedly representing English constituencies are too busy guzzling at the trough to speak up on issues like the West Lothian Question, the Barnett Formula, health apartheid, etc.

And now, not content with having its own parliament and part-time Secretary of State, Scotland has a full-time Secretary again - thanks of course to English revenue and Scots greed.

From the CEP News Blog:

Jim McMurphy, the new Secretary of State for Scotland, has got off to a flying start.

He apparently told Gordon McBrown that he would only take the job on the condition that it was full time and not combined with another cabinet position like it was with Des McBrowne. At a time when the British government has the least relevance to the people of Scotland as it has for over 300 years, appointing a full-time minister for Scotland is quite bizarre. Especially when taking into account that there is no Secretary of State for England and no England Office despite the British government having absolute control over England.

Gordon Brown, you really are honouring the 1989 Scottish Claim Of Right that you signed way back then, aren't you? You really are putting Scotland ahead of the rest of the UK in all you do?

And stick your snout in the trough, Jim Murphy - join the rest of the pigs!

Anti-English David Cameron Cosies Up To Gordon Brown

Conservative leader David Cameron offered to suspend political hostilities to help the Government deal with the crisis in the financial markets.

He was aiming to avoid a British repeat of the wrangling in Congress which blocked George Bush's 700 billion-dollar (£385bn) plan to rescue US banks.

In an emergency speech to the Tory conference in Birmingham, Mr Cameron offered his party's support for Government legislation to tackle the crisis and urged Prime Minister Gordon Brown to speed it onto the statute books when the Commons returns on Monday.

He announced that he was dropping Tory objections to a key element of the Government's Banking Reform Bill to ensure it passes smoothly through Parliament.

A sombre-faced Mr Cameron won applause from activists as he told the conference: "Let us not allow the political wrangling that took place in America to happen here in our own country. In Britain we are all in this together, so in Britain let us stick together and together we will find a way through."

Whatever the merits and pitfalls of Cameron's current choice of action, the fact is that as Opposition the Tories are useless anyway.

And the Party simply will not speak up for the people of England - as the most outrageous discrimination is practised against every man, woman and child in England, David Cameron insults those seeking justice "sour Little Englanders!" (in the linked article, Cameron chooses to tell lies about the Poll Tax in Scotland. The true facts are here) and bangs on about "Scottish blood" in his veins (what a racist concept!) and the fact that whilst those of us in England must be "British", his ancestors' apparently took part in the "Scottish Empire".

Cameron - you are an anti-English politician, one of many currently infesting Westminster, and you are one of the most dishonourable and unprincipled Opposition Leaders it's ever been our misfortune to encounter.

Die in England for want of medication available on the NHS in Scotland?

The West Lothian Question? The Barnett Formula?

"In Britain we are all in this together," you say. Well, you, Sir, are a liar - and like every other MP who refuses to speak up for the people of England, you have blood on your hands!

Remembering The Turmoil Of The 1980s - But What Outrages People Now?

We often think back to the sheer naked havoc that was the 1980s. Were you at Greenham Common? Were you a miner or a yuppie? Just where did you stand politically? Chances are, you would be making it obvious.

Nowadays, of course, people don't seem very motivated when it comes to politics. "Politicians have failed us!" they wail, and go out and buy a new ipod, some 1960s style wallpaper or a rustic style cruet set.

Or whatever.

Meanwhile, the politicians get bolder and bolder. England? We don't care about England! No, you can't have a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty! WE know what's best...

And so on.

And so on.

Oh, to be in the 1980s now that autumn's here...

JK Rowling - Traitor To The Needy In England And Completely Out Of Touch With New Labour... And Harry Potter Stirs Memories Of The 1980s Mole...

Millionaire authoress JK Rowling, sitting up there comfortably in the land of plenty, Scotland, has just donated one million pounds to New Labour.

She believes that New Labour has done a great job for under privileged children (they haven't really), and said:

"I believe that poor and vulnerable families will fare much better under the Labour Party than they would under a Cameron-led Conservative Party."

Like those of us scrimping and saving for prescription and hospital car parking charges in England, Ms Rowling? Or dying for want of medication available on the NHS in Scotland but being blocked by NICE in England? Or those of us paying tuition fees at the behest of MPs representing Scots constituencies?

Not very bright, are you? But then as the lovely CBBC online service points out:

JK, who is friends with Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah, said she didn't agree with some of the Conservatives' ideas.

Well neither do we. But friends with Gordon and Sarah? How cosy for you, JK Rowling, you completely uncaring baggage.

Ms Rowling's act is simply beyond our comprehension. If she really cared for under privileged children, why didn't she donate the money to appropriate charities?

We can't judge Harry Potter on his merits. As soon as we saw the character, we were reminded strongly of Adrian Mole, the brilliantly funny 1980s book and TV teen - and we simply couldn't take the Potter hype seriously.

But after this we can make one promise: not a single copy of one of Ms Rowling's works or of the DVD spin-offs will ever be brought by us. And we'll take every opportunity to do some metaphoric egg chucking.

Rowling is a traitor to every needy person in England.

From the TV Times, 1985 - Adrian Mole - created by Sue Townsend as "Nigel Mole" in 1980, published in book form in 1982 and on our tellies in 1985.

Nick Clegg - Undemocratic And Deceitful

Doesn't it make you sick when politicians begin speeches like this:

My grandmother was a Russian exile.

She fled the Russian revolution as a child, escaping through Europe and finally settling here in Britain.

My mother spent part of her childhood in a Japanese prisoner of war camp in Indonesia.

My mother and my grandmother – their lives torn and reshaped by the great wars and upheavals of the twentieth century.

And they found a home in Britain because ours is a nation of tolerance, of freedom, and of compassion.

And what my mother and grandmother endured taught me the extraordinary, precious value of those beliefs.

They understood that beliefs matter. They make all the difference between war and peace. Beliefs shape our world, for better and for worse.

That was Liberal Democrats leader Nick Clegg. He then went on to make a speech which was designed to ignore glaring inequalities like asymmetric devolution, health apartheid, the West Lothian Question. It was, in fact, a blatant attempt to muddy the waters and delude the English into believing devolution hasn't happened, or at least has had no great impact.

Mr Clegg's party website then ground the down-trodden people of England further into the mud by demoting the country to "some sections of the UK" in a footnote.

Nick Clegg - you clearly have not learned anything from your forebears. We cannot believe that they were as undemocratic and deceitful as you are.

David Marquand

Over at Our Kingdom, Mr Marquand claims that England must have a "moral vision" before qualifying for democratic rule. By that, he means converting to his own warped version of "socialism". "Think as I do". Mr Maquand then applauds the Scots and Welsh for their own visions.

Rubbish. The Scottish and Welsh nationalist movements are riddled with misconceptions of the past and Anglophobia.

The current set up is racist, pure and simple. The last time I checked (back in the days of the CRE) racism could be on grounds of nationality! Just think, people can die in England for want of medication available on the NHS in Scotland, the English public services and NHS are underfunded, other UK MPs foist legislation onto England, people in England scrape together money for prescriptions available free to millionaires in Wales.

It’s spite - some kind of “pay back” for perceived injustices in the past. These “injustices” are far from clear cut when closely examined. It’s simply that the perceived wrongs of “Britain” are heaped upon England.

There is no noble vision. It is a racist elite (the pure “Celt” thing is terrifying and inaccurate) ruling a “great unwashed”. That people cannot see the racist element in all this worries me intensely.

England must have its own parliament.

David Marquand is an arrogant racist, out to butter his own parsnips in seeking to ensure that the current undemocratic and corrupt system of governance is upheld.

Scots Who Still Won't See The Injustice Of Devolution And English MPs Who Won't Do Their Jobs...

In the Scotsman today...

This is funny:

“The Union has to be seen as looser, more flexible, more diverse and modern and in turn allow the issues at the heart of devolved government - sovereignty, identity, democracy and nationality - to be better understood and made more relevant to Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England.”

Despite the first three nations already being showered with devolution goodies, despite the fact that health apartheid is rampant, England is still last on the list.

And this is sickening:

“It [the Union} has within it different nations and regions with views and attitudes towards the Union that vary widely.”

The Union is not composed of regions.

It’s time England was independent. That certain Scots still think they can seek to impose a different set of rules on England to those enjoyed by themselves, and all this posturing and preening -
“Scot of The Year” - I mean YUCK!! - shows that insight and fair mindedness is far too lacking for the Union to continue.

When you put these people together with the selfish and greedy English MPs, refusing to act in the interests of their constituents, the message is clear:

End the “Union”.

Then Scots meddlers can mind THEIR OWN business and English MPs will be forced to get on with WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING - representing their constituents’ interests in England.

You never know, the "Scot of the Year" might actually be somebody who lacks the bigoted "auld enemy" mentality and actually sets in motion an end to the devolutionary mess... but don't bank on it.
