Via Toque comes news that the British Olympic Association is preparing to enter a Great Britain team in the Paralympic Games in China next year.
This augers well for the prospect of a Team Great Britain football team in the 2012 Olympics, which is entirely against the wishes of the majority of fans of the game and various footie organisations. For England, the prospect is particularly worrying: with no constitutional recognition at all within the so-called Union, it would mean that a powerful focussing point for England's continued existence in the public mind would be gone and the Scottish Raj would, no doubt, delight in this further blurring of "England" and "Britain".
Remember, this is not about solidarity in the UK. It is about the brainwashing of the majority, the people of England, into continuing to accept a second class deal as UK citizens.
For England and its people, the implications are far more important than a game of football.
Please check out the No Team UK site here, even if you are not a football fan. Remember, this is a facet of something much larger which sees the people of England ruled by non-representative MPs - including our Prime Minister, Gordon Brown; which sees medication available on the NHS in Scotland which is not available in England; which sees prescriptions available free to millionaires in Wales, whilst people in England scrimp and save for them; which sees England subsidising the other home nations whilst having no equal rights or say.
