Merry Christmas...

Merry Christmas, folks. To those who won't be working but don't celebrate, enjoy your break. Here's a little ditty that was in the charts around Christmas 1987 - and no, it ain't The Fairy Tale Of New York!

Don't You Just Wish Google And The Rest Of The PC Crowd Would F*ck Off?

As a care worker I'm not on holiday. In fact, it's likely to be a very busy time for me. But I will make time to attend a Christmas church service and pull a Christmas cracker.

But the above and other ridiculous motifs, with a "happy holidays from Google" tag, are what the slimiest, most politically correct, patronising and thought controlling search engine in the world are marking Christmas with.

The vast majority of people will be celebrating Christmas. But it's not good for us to have that fact recognised.

Christ, I hate Google!

Hasten the day when we see an end to these idiots trying to submerge our culture and control our lives in the name of "inclusiveness". I note it's not ethnic minority groups carrying out the vanquishing of Christmas - it's the usual smug, superior and arrogant arseholes who consider themselves above the common herd, above following tradition or endorsing any particular religion.

Google: "Happy Holidays"? How Thoughtless and Insensitive!

So, Google flashed "happy holidays" up for Christmas, and a crap tale of kangaroos doing knitting (I kid you not), but decided that New Year was OK, so flashed up "Happy New Year".

A few points...

1) Like many care workers, I was hard at work over the "holiday", so "happy holidays" seems smug and insensitive to me. So, you had a holiday? Lucky Google!

2) Not everybody celebrates New Year when we do, so why is that acceptable? Google really do piss me off. Why can't they just stick to being a search engine, and stop imposing their priggish crap on us? There are too many organisations like Google which seek to dictate to the majority and tell us that our customs and traditions are simply not acceptable.

Google Edits Out Christmas and The Union of The Snake...

So, Christmas looms. And next year promises the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Act of Union. You know, the Union which saw the abolition of England and the raising of the Scots and Welsh as elite "races" of the "UK" (no DNA tests necessary) - complete with superior health services, public spending and a dicatatorial role for their MPs in running the "regions" of the UK - formerly England.

Let's keep spreading the word.

I note that Google is doing its Politically Correct "Happy Holidays" bit again this year. Surely, the vast majority of people will be celebrating Christmas - whether as a religious festival or an excuse to pig out? If Google finds the tastes of the majority so unappealing, perhaps it should just stick to being a search engine and spare us its patronising and offensive cartoons and messages?

Sue Campbell...

It's worth remembering that Google edited out England in its recent children's competition, Chris. The idea was for kids to draw images of "Britain", but Google recognised Scotland and Wales, and carved England up into areas with much larger population sizes so that the competition was immediately unfair to kids here. As it was a UK based comp, why wasn't the UK carved up into equal population sizes, and ALL sub-nations ignored?

As usual, it was only England...

Ta, Sue. Yeah, Google is pretty priggish and bigoted, isn't it? And all this "happy holidays" stuff makes me think it's July and I'm off to Brighton.

The Politically Correct elite really need discarding. As I say, Google should stick to being a search engine. Their offensive and nonsensical greetings are just not needed.
