Hatred... The Scots - Inclusive, Non-Racists?

Received by this blog today. I usually ignore this kind of e-mail, but with various UK think tanks and public bodies currently praising the Scots for their inclusive, non-racist ways, I feel that it's only right and proper to occasionally acknowledge the other (ignored) side of the Scottish coin:

get a fucking life! Scotland rules , English bastard

It's not easy blogging for England, but ignorant bile like this convinces me that it is highly necessary.

James Paice - The Reply...

At last Drew and Fiona have heard from South East Cambs MP James Paice on the subject of Frank Field's Early Day Motion 670.

The letter is below, with some comments from Drew and Fiona inserted in red:

Thank you for your letter regarding the Early Day Motion referring to opinion polls on the proposal for an English Parliament.

I appreciate your concerns about the impact of current constitutional arrangements which leads some people to the assumption that England is not properly represented
[ Are you saying, with the Barnett Formula, West Lothian Question, NHS discrimination and non-representative MPs, that England IS properly represented, Mr Paice?], but I do not believe that regional assemblies or an English Parliament is the answer [ But English votes on English matters is unworkable].

The creation of an English Parliament would create another costly tier of politicians with an additional layer of bureaucracy that I do not believe that people in England want [ But the UK Government would have to be vastly reduced. Surely this comment is nonsense - quoted from the Conservative Book of Old Cobblers?]

Such a move would also move us towards a federal state which would cause instability due to the disproportionate size of the constituent parts that make up the United Kingdom [So, it's all right for citizens in England to be treated as second rate because of the country's size? Also, a federal UK could work very well. Surely the continuation of the Union should not be placed above the interests and needs of people in England?].

Chris says: Sadly, Mr Paice seems to be one of those head in the sands MPs, happy to sacrifice you, me and everybody else for the good of the Union. A real British gent, no less.

Sod you, dears - if the NHS won't cough up for medication available on the NHS in Scotland, who cares? I certainly don't. I don't use the NHS. And democracy for plebs? Not an issue, I'm afraid.

Chortle, chortle.

Distressing attitude.

Google Dictates...

This sickly picture is Google's way of telling us that St Valentine's Day is OK to celebrate. Since I have been making notes, Google has dictated:
Christmas = Unacceptable = call it "holidays" (those of us who were not on holidays, but who did celebrate Christmas could get lost. We simply were not included in the Google greeting).
New Year = Acceptable - although not everybody celebrates it when we do.
It will be interesting to see which UK saints pass the Google test. I'll be monitoring and reporting here...

All Bow Down: Tony Blair: "The UK - and the world - owe a huge amount to Scottish genius, vision and hard work..."

The headline quote is Tony Blair speaking in Scotland. So, apparently, a major reason why Scots are treated as an elite in the UK is because Scotsman Tony Blair believes that they ARE an elite. That's why their MPs vote on England's legislation. That's why you can die in England for want of medication available on the NHS in Scotland. That's why English pensioners must sell their homes for care when it's free in Scotland.

Scottish genius? What IS Scottish? Any need for DNA testing? Any hint of ridicule? No. Tony Blair is a sick Little Scotlander.

Article here, and you can text him your questions (although I believe that facility is primarily for Scots):

http://www.sundaymail.co.uk/news/tm_headline=united--we-can-make-scotland-even-stronger-&method=full&objectid=18605312&siteid=64736-name_page.html

UPDATE:

Sue Campbell

I can hardly believe he said that. And the rest of the article is just as sick. I know he wants to look after his party's chances, but did he have to appeal to that sick "Scottish Nazi superior race" mentality? It sounds like all the good stuff is a one-way thing, flowing from Scotland outwards.

I reply:

I think he genuinely believes it, Sue. He is boosting the arrogant, racist "Little Scotlander" whilst also trying to snuff out the hopes of the SNP. The rest of us are just UK assorted rabble. The great unwashed. If an English person had said similar to Blair about England and the English, the screams of "Little Englander!" and "racist!" would resound from now till decade's end.

And Blair would be one of the people joining the chant. Sick man. Twisted politician.

UPDATE 2

Greg from Cumbria

All hail the mighty Scots! Great. And Gordon Brown calls English acheivements "British". We cannot let these arrogant nutcases continue to run the show.

James Paice, South East Cambridgeshire MP - "They Work For You"? He Ignores Us.

Drew writes...

Fiona and I recently wrote to our MP, James Paice about EDM670 -http://edmi.parliament.uk/EDMi/EDMDetails.aspx?EDMID=32348&SESSION=885

We asked him to take note of recent polls showing that the electorate in England want a national parliament and sign the EDM. Well, Mr Paice didn't sign. And didn't even bother to reply to us.

Democracy thy name is Westminster - home of the Imperial UK Government.
