Glenys Kinnock - Another Anti-English Appointment By Gordon Brown...

Amazing that Glenys Kinnock is to be the UK Minister for Europe.

Why? How?

We can only assume it's another of Gordon Brown's anti-English appointments. After all, Gordon signed the Scottish Claim of Right in 1989, vowing to put Scotland first in all he does, but he obviously wants to look after his other fellow so-called Celts as well ("Celt" - the ancient WHITE tribe myth, forming an, in reality, entirely imaginary fraternity between the people of Scotland, Wales, Cornwall and Ireland).

And we must remember what Glenys' hubby, dear old Neil Kinnock, once said about England in the sporting arena:

"I am pro-Britain in everything I do. I always support Britain. I support the British Lions on every occasion. I support any and every Welsh team on every occasion. And I support any and every team on every occasion when they are playing against England."

Glenys is probably of much the same ilk. She'll suit so-called "Celtic" Gordy down to the ground. Don't expect her to do a thing to advance England's interests. Quite the reverse.

George Orwell: It was 1980. It was 1982. It was 1984. It's 2009...

According to the Penguin Modern Classics edition of George Orwell's 1984, the author was originally going to set the action in 1980. Then, as the years and the writing of the book went on, 1982. And finally he decided on 1984.

And here we are now, with our database and CCTV State in 2009. Seems a far more appropriate setting than what, in reality, turned out to be the era of Thatcher, Reagan, shoulder pads, Spitting Image, Greenham Common, The Miners' Strike, Rubik's Cubes and Apple Macs, doesn't it?

Is the Government and, indeed, the EU, using Orwell's 1984 as a guide?

I simply can't believe what's happening. And as I start today knowing that all our internet movements are now being monitored... I can't help wondering...

What the fuck is going to happen to us?

Where is it all going to end?

EU Money For Scotland, Wales And Northern Ireland. But the UK Government Says "No" To England Having Any...

From FT.com

Some of England’s poorest regions are losing out on extra funding from the European Union while Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland benefit from the additional largesse, the Financial Times has learnt.

The government has determined there is insufficient time for the regions to spend a sudden windfall after the precipitate fall of the pound boosted the value of euro-denominated European Union grants by about a fifth.

To help them spend the money to fight recession, the European Commission recently offered an unprecedented six-month extension to its December 2008 deadline to all countries for unused funds as part of a €200bn (£178bn) economic stimulus package.

The UK took up the option for devolved regions but rejected it for England, casting a shadow over Gordon Brown’s tour of recession-hit areas and angering people in Merseyside, where the cabinet met on Thursday and which has missed out on a £10m exchange rate windfall.

To read the full FT article, click on the red text.

So, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, each with their own national governing bodies, have snapped up the money, whilst also wallowing in Barnett Formula payouts from England. But England, occupied by the UK Government and broken up into undemocratic regions against the will of the electorate, will not be getting any.

Because the occupying UK Government has said NO.

Big hat-tip to the Witanagemot Club.

Petition For A Referendum On The Lisbon Treaty: The Twisted UK Government Responds - And The Devil's Kitchen Responds To The Response...

The Government believes that EU Membership is firmly in Britain’s national interest, and remains committed to ensuring that the EU is focussed on adding value for its citizens.

Sometimes we feel tired. Tired of fighting for justice, tired of trying to get "our" Government to honour its promises and act in any way democratically. The UK Government has just responded to the petition for a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, which New Labour promised us would take place, and our no-mandate Prime Minister Gordon Brown then went ahead and signed without consulting the electorate at all.

The most ridiculous part of it all is this dispicable Government quoting the fact that a referendum took place on the EEC in 1975, when we were already a member. The EEC was not the EU, simply a forerunner, a very different beast indeed, and it seems politicians were lying through their teeth even way back then. We were told back then that membership of the EEC would not lead to the current scenario.

The reply just received is not unexpected. But it is sickening. Full of lies and self serving nonsense. The UK Government is a corrupt, undemocratic shit of an organisation. The Devil's Kitchen puts it better than we can here.

Kent Online Displays Its Ignorance On The English Parliament Issue And Stuart Wheeler Loses...

Kent Online displays its ignorance and trivialises the English Parliament issue by claiming it's got us "hot under the stiff upper lip" (surely that's "British"?!) and allowing the final say in its quoted comments to go to somebody with no grasp of the facts at all:

Robbie Craig from Dungeness, said: “ The only point of new government tiers is if they increase the accountability of politicians and bring important decisions closer to the electorate. An English Parliament would not do that.

“Better to have regional government and local government with real power.”

What is the gentleman on about? Non-accountable Scottish MPs, including our Prime Minister, rule us!

Surely the internal government of England should be decided by the electorate in England? All that was on offer was tinpot regional assemblies, which still allowed non-accountable MPs to decide crucial national issues pertaining to England. And health apartheid and the West Lothian Question are running absolutely rampant.

Don't get me wrong, a cross section of opinion is inportant, but the final paragraphs of an article carry great weight. Shame on you, Samantha Payne and Kent Online!

Meanwhile, Stuart Wheeler has lost his case to stop the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty - and even whilst the matter was sub-judice, the arrogant UK Government, headed by no mandate Prime Minister Gordon Brown and including non-objective beneficiaries of the EU Pension Fund like Neil Kinnock, went ahead with discussing and voting on the matter, and the Queen gave it royal assent!

Another bad day for democracy - and one which casts doubt on the honesty of our legal system.

My only comfort is that in the long term dictatorships never prosper. But I shudder at the thought of the damage that will be done before the downfall of this one.

UPDATE: Stuart Wheeler to appeal! Well done that man! He is speaking for an awful lot of people!

The EU Dicatorship - Lisbon Treaty Ratified In House Of Lords

Another shameful day in UK politics as the House of Lords ratified the EU Constitution - oops, sorry, I mean Lisbon Treaty. It apparently gains Royal Assent from the dear old Lizzie puppet tomorrow.

What a travesty! Why weren't WE consulted?

Meanwhile, Gordon Brown sought to portray the Tories as “viscerally anti-European”. That's rich - coming from the head of a Government which is viscerally anti-democratic.

The EU: Don't Trust The People To Decide Their Future...

The sheer and unblievable arrogance of the EU is demonstrated in this comment in the European Weekly, an official EU publication:

The security, liberty and prosperity of hundreds of millions of
European citizens ask for complex leadership actions, which
cannot be appreciated by heterogeneous populations, from the
point of view of the information level and the education one.

Surely "politics is for the people"? However, arrogant dictatorships, like the EU, are not.

Big hat tip to the PJC Journal.

Ireland Says No, The EU Says Ignore It...

That arch Nu Labour/EU puppet the BBC is wittering on about just over three million people (in Ireland) deciding the future of the EU for 490 million people. Bad piece of reporting. No other electorate has been given a say on the EU Constitution - or "Lisbon Treaty" as it is now known.

Meanwhile, David Miliband says ratification will continue. With no hope of the people of Britain having a say at all. He says a "British view" is important. Of course, he means the British political elite.

Angela Merkel is, of course, pushing for ratification as well: "We are convinced that the agreed reforms included in the Lisbon Treaty are necessary to make EU more democratic and more efficient and that they will enable Europe to meet the challenges confronting the European citizens."

"Agreed reforms"? WHO agreed them, Ms Merkel?

The political elite is now pushing its dangerous agenda too far. Dictatorships do not flourish.

Meanwhile, Devils Kitchen has come up with a lovely gift idea for the no mandate UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown...

The BBC Lisbon Treaty Comments Thread - "Let's Include A Few Kicks In The Groin For England, Shall We, Chaps?"

As the dust settles after the Irish referendum "NO" vote on the Lisbon Treaty, BBC online has decided to allow a comments thread on the subject. We know how the BBC likes to make sure no nationality or race is offended by any of its published comments, so it is heartning to see that this policy is adhered to here.

Apart from the English, of course.

First we have a Scots Nats person spouting drivel:

Ranting about being kicked out of the EU and free border crossings in the EU do not justify our erosion of soverignty over our own country - some Unelected gathering in another country making laws to govern us is not acceptable and will not be tolerated by the British people - The Scottish want free of England so why should the accept the EU - Give us the vote and be a man gordon - you were elected by the people and you can go in the same manner if you fail to listen.

I replied to this, pointing out that England does not exist constitutionally and that the PM is a Scot, representing a Scots constituency. I also included my views on the EU. None of it was published.

Then this:

English jokes often portray the Irish as dim. I as an Englishman applaud their intelligence in voting no and criticise the naivity of other countries in not protesting more vigorously against their govenments´ refusing a referendum. What happened in Britain was an utter disgrace; the government made an election promise and then went back on it fearing a no vote. The EU is full of hypocrisy, claiming to be democatic but denying the people its say. No doubt it will come up with some clever fudge!

Isn't it odd that English people so often submerge "English" under "British" in writing and speech and yet this e-mail paints a perceived wrong-doing as being "English" - and yet the old "Englishman, Irishman and a Scotsman" jokes were prevelant throughout England and Scotland in the 1960s/1970s!

A source close to this blog also informs me that the writer of the e-mail is not English at all - but Scots!

Why is he/she disguising him/herself as English? Search me...

Just a little quibble - but I'm always amazed when I read BBC comments threads at the number of times Auntie lets anti-English stuff seep in - even if it is totally untrue as in the case of the first comment featured here.

Still, the tone of the majority of the comments is highly encouraging as far as I can see - but still David Miliband declares that the ratification process in the UK Parliament will continue... And we still won't get a say.

"It's right that we continue with our own process." says Mr Miliband. But it isn't OUR PROCESS. It's the politicians'. And it's not RIGHT. Ratification was supposed to depend on unanimity.

Mr Miliband goes on to say that there should be a "British view" on the treaty - but surely that should come from the people, not a bunch of dictators closeted away at Westminster?

"We Say What About EU Dictatorship?"

David Cameron Tells Lies About The EU

David Cameron irritates the hell out of me. Not quite as much as Gordon Brown, but he still does.

Cameron is the man who tells those of us in England who don't like health apartheid, the West Lothian Question and the Barnett Formula and who want parity with Scotland that we are "sour little Englanders".

Cameron is the man who speaks proudly of having ancestry who were involved in a "Scottish Empire" and brags of having "Scots blood" flowing through his veins.

Cameron is the man who tells us in England that the Union is everything. Far more important than health apartheid, etc.

Cameron is supposed to be in Opposition to the Government - but it's rarely obvious. Are the Tories SO comfortable that they simply don't want the bother of governing?

And are they, like so many other career politicians, eyeing the glittering prizes available to them through a continuation of the current undemocratic EU set-up? I mean let's face it, integration and interaction on a tiny planet is all to the good, but do we really want dictatorship?

But Mr Cameron thinks its commendable - like Gordy and co, he's willing to tell lies about what would happen if we pulled out of the EU. I'm guessing that he is telling lies. Because I don't think any leading politician could possibly be so thick as to spout the following nonsense in good faith:

Question to David Cameron: Why would you rather be in Europe rather than govern, why don't you want a landslide victory that that policy would give you?

A. The vast majority of the British people want to stay in the EU. From the very next day our businesses will flounder and be unable to export to the EU.

Utter nonsense. Read it all over at "Is There More To Life Than Shoes?"

End of Nations - The EU Takeover And The Lisbon Treaty

Politicians no longer listen to us. We want devolution for England as a nation? Hard titty. We want a referendum on the EU Lisbon Treaty? Hard titty...

It's odd, but the politicians suddenly seem to be all in it together. The Tories don't really seem to want to challenge New Labour that much - so David Cameron announces that those who want devolutionary parity in England are "sour little Englanders" and goes on to say that the Union is sacred. Health apartheid? Who cares?

Very few politicians in the mainstream parties seem to be acting for the electorate any more. Our wishes are blatantly ignored. So, what is going on? On the devolutionary front, there's definitely a racist, anti-English Scots/Welsh/"British"/PC faction at work, but why so few protests from English MPs?

Why is England so determinedly being broken up into regions, despite the 78% NO vote in the North East, the only area allowed a referendum?

What's going on? Why is democracy going to the wall?

This is essential reading and viewing:

We set out to make a video about the pros and cons of the Lisbon Treaty and found out to our horror the lies, manipulations and deceit behind the EU. From MEPs, legal experts and EU researches the true nature of the EU unfolded, how it really operates from behind closed doors and away from prying eyes. We discovered the massive power grab away from citizens and nations to the elites that is being proposed in this treaty. Most shocking of all was how our elected representatives are willingly handing us over to this emerging Totalitarian Superstate by deception , propaganda and outright lies.

This video details how the structures of the EU really operate, what the full significance of the Lisbon Treaty is and how it is the end of Nations within in the EU. MEPs describe their experience in Brussels and how they are undermined by the real power of the unelected and unaccountable Eurocrats who run the organization. How the politicians are working together for their own selfish needs while being used for a bigger agenda.

The video lasts for 1 hour and 22 minutes. I strongly recommend that you watch it all and read the associated material. It's all here.

EU Lisbon Treaty Death Penalty UPDATE

The Secret Person has been researching the full details of the EU's Lisbon Treaty reinstatement of the Death Penalty:

(a) Article 2(2) of the ECHR:
‘Deprivation of life shall not be regarded as inflicted in contravention of this Article
when it results from the use of force which is no more than absolutely necessary:
(a) in defence of any person from unlawful violence;
(b) in order to effect a lawful arrest or to prevent the escape of a person lawfully
detained;
(c) in action lawfully taken for the purpose of quelling a riot or insurrection.’

(b) Article 2 of Protocol No 6 to the ECHR:
‘A State may make provision in its law for the death penalty in respect of acts
committed in time of war or of imminent threat of war; such penalty shall be applied
only in the instances laid down in the law and in accordance with its provisions…’

The EU Lisbon Treaty Brings Back The Death Penalty

We're not against the concept of a European Union - we actually love the idea. But not a European Dictatorship - which abolishes nations and basically our right to any say. And that is what is happening with the current EU set up.

It's terrifying. And all our politicians are keeping rather quiet about it - even those shouting are not shouting nearly loud enough, our media is not reporting the truth of what is happening, everything is ignored, lied about or played down to the max, and we, the voters, of course, are being denied a referendum.

All sorts of incredible things are happening, and now, via Wonko, we learn that the libertarian EU, apparently so anti-death penalty, has now decided it is to be reinstated - though the fact is craftily hidden away in a footnote in the Lisbon Treaty: the death penalty is apparently abolished "except in the case of war, riots, upheaval".

We're personally against the death penalty under any circumstances, but here the EU makes it plain it will not be used against proven murderers or the likes but in the event of war or protest.

Looks like our powers to protest against our new Masters are being severely curtailed. Unless we want to pay the ultimate price.

The EU experiment must be halted.

Gordon Brown - No "English Question"

Gordon Brown is at it again, sneaking in and signing the EU Treaty without the promised referendum (not the same document at all? The Waendal Journal lists insiders' opinions here) and rejecting calls for an English Parliament, making out that we all value the Union far more!

Gareth has this.

When will the politicians start listening? Do we need a return to 1980s style street riots before anybody takes notice? God forbid - but even our modern day fragmented, shallow and consumerist electorate will only take so much.

The Break Up Of England

When the North East of England voted 78% NO to regionalisation, we thought that was it. The end of the regionalisation project. This was the only area allowed a referendum and the electorate had spoken. Silly us! The wishes of the people count for nought and regionalisation continues apace. It suits the anti-English Union Government, headed by Gordon Brown, to dismember our country (we didn't vote for him) and it suits the EU (we didn't vote for that, either).

So we now have Yorkshire, Europe. Actually that's not really the old county of Yorkshire - it's "Yorkshire and Humber", an EU/NuLab region. Not UK. Not England. A tinpot region to be ruled from on high in Brussels.

More here .

Gordon Brown Decides Against Any Hint Of Democratic Rule For England...

Gordon Brown

So, Gordon Brown has decided against holding a General Election. Frankly, I'm not surprised. The man craves power and glory and the will of the people would not aid him.

Just remember...

When Gordon Brown talks about "Britishness", he is talking about an entirely synthetic nationality, just three hundred years old. In his own country, Scotland, and in Wales, nationally representative bodies are Scottish and Welsh and these are inclusive nationalities, no bar via race or creed. Gordon Brown and his ilk wish to make out that Englishness is an exclusive ethnicity, and that "Britishness" is wonderful, inclusive, good and kind...

By denying England equality with Scotland, we find that the UK Government has:

1) Caused a system of health apartheid - life prolonging/enhancing medications available on the NHS in Scotland are not available in England, and prescriptions free to millionaires in Wales are scrimped and saved for in England.

2) Made the West Lothian Question of tremendous concern - Top Up Fees and Foundation Hospitals were forced on England by MPs representing Scots constituencies. Ministers for English ministries such as transport need not represent the people of England, it seems. They can represent Scots constituencies, where they have no authority over the relevant legislation as it is devolved.

3) Refused to address the issue of the Barnett Formula. Public spending is still far higher in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales than it is in England. The oil issue is a red herring as UK resources should be shared, and the maritime boundary was tweaked in the late 1960s anyway, giving English oil to Scotland! The English were not consulted.

So, when you hear Gordon Brown twittering on prettily about "Britishness" beware. The man is not being modern, inclusive and non-racist. He is simply hoping to perpetuate the system of non-democratic rule and health apartheid in England which he helped to create. He is hoping to hold onto power not given to him by the people.

Here is a man who swiped two billion pounds from the English NHS in his last act as Chancellor, but left the Scots and Welsh budgets intact; here is a man who promised the people a referendum on the EU, but will not allow one; here is a man who simply has no mandate to govern England. When he says "Britain", he lies. The vast majority of legislation passed by his government applies to England only. Health, transport, education and many other areas are devolved in Scotland and an increasing number elsewhere in the so-called UK too.

"Britain" is now a lie. Since devolution kicked in it has not truly existed. It is a sham - a ruse used to manipulate and cheat the people of England.

And, thanks to Gordon Brown bottling out of a General Election, we shall have to put up with this for several years to come.
