The BBC - Big Brother Corporation Is Watching You - Probably On A Space Hopper...

The BBC loves the 1970s so much it's prepared to invent things about them. It also hates England.

I've just come across a BBC ad on my Site Meter, just to remind me that I (and you) MUST pay for it, whether I (or you) use it or not...

So, what are we being forced to pay for? A rampantly anti-England/English organisation which simply does not serve the majority of people forced to pay its funding seems to be the answer.

And the BBC is not what it was. Remember the days when it was world renowned for its research? Not any more. It can't even get 1970s pop culture right.

Space Hoppers - also known as Hoppity Hops, Hop Ball, and Kangaroo Balls - bounced into the UK during the Summer of ’71 and served absolutely no useful purpose whatsoever.

Which is an incredible statement since 1969 newspaper archives around the UK contain advertisements for the space hopper and refer to it as a "trend"!

Cambridge Evening News, England, November 1969.

Trouble is, BBC info is still SO Respected that it tends to infect other organisations like the Toy Retailers Association with inaccurate drivel! So, Auntie indoctrinates everybody, telling us that the 70s were where everything was at, and Joe Bloggs looks at his local newspaper archive and finds out otherwise.

Auntie is just too full of her own agendas.

Read the accurate version of the hopper's arrival in Britain here and here - and marvel!

If the BBC can't even get that right, what else are they getting wrong? Apart from the obvious...
